As a follower of Jesus Christ, we are no longer slaves to this world but are now citizens of Heaven. Therefore, we must devote ourselves to the things that are Heavenly and matters that concern the Lord who reigns there. The process to being a good citizen of God is not an easy one because we still live in the world we were a slave in. Only when we stay in constant contact with our Savior through prayer and meditation in His Word will we start to grow in our citizenship. We may not agree with His will at first, but the Holy Spirit of God is a patient teacher and will guide us to better understand the truth. Therefore let’s strive to be citizens of the Kingdom of God.
