In 1 Timothy 2:1-2 Paul is giving instructions with regards to praying for everyone. Especially those who have political positions. There are many people that have deep feelings about those in political authority right now who might find this challenging. For others, this might lead to feelings of thankfulness and hope. Regardless of how you feel about praying for people in authority, this is something that is beneficial to one’s faith. So, consider this, when you pray you are talking to God who created all people. People who are made in His image according to Genesis 2.
