James 1:13-15: Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. 14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
Have we not often blamed God for orchestrating our many collisions with seeming ubiquitous temptation? Have we not placed blame on the Father’s head when he had naught to do with it?
Brethren, let us not err.
God does not use evil to tempt men. Let us stop blaming God here. For we are drawn away from the path of agape by our own selfish and unbridled desires. It is this ungodly lust that causes us to fall prey to the enticement of the temptation…
