Philippians 1:6 says “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus”. Sometimes, we try so desperately to change on our own. We feel that we should be at a certain level in our faith. Sometimes we experience success in our efforts to change and other times, we fail. It is important to understand that failure does not mean there is no progress but rather a reminder that we are in the middle of the process of changing.

When we give our lives to God, He begins His work in us. Often times we feel that God has forgotten about us or that we have stopped growing spiritually. However, spiritual growth, like physical growth happens slowly over time. As the scripture reminds us, God will bring everything he has started in us to a completion. He is preparing us…
