Jesus is the Only Way

The Absolute Way

We live in a world that says that there are multiple ways to get to God.  The problem with this school of thought is that it denies the concept of absolute truth.  Whether they are willing to accept it or not, absolute truth does exist.  For example, humans can’t live without air; that is an absolute truth.

Absolute Destiny

There are many absolute truths that people cling to in order to survive this world.  One such truth is understanding what will happen to them when their time on this earth is over.  While some claim that when we die that is the end of it, many believe that something significant happens to them.  That when they die, they will go to a specific place like heaven or hell, and that their destination in the hereafter will be based on how they did things in their lives.

Not Enough Good Deeds

Many belief systems say that you have to do many good deeds in order to get to heaven.  The only problem is, they don’t explain how many good works are needed in order to guarantee passage to heaven.  As a result, there is a great deal of anxiety that comes to those who practice these belief systems.  However, when we read the Word of God, we discover that good deeds are not enough to guarantee heaven.

Only One Way

So how can one get into heaven if not by good deeds?  In today’s devotional reading on YouTube from “The NIV Once-A-Day Devotional for Men,” we will learn that there is only way to get to heaven, and that is through God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.  Fill free to leave any comments about what you watch.  May God bless you in all things.
