Being a follower of Jesus can be hard, but it doesn’t have to be complicated. John wrote this:
If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. 16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. – 1 John 4:15-16 (NIV)
How do we know if we are truly a follower of Jesus? First, acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God. When you surrender your life to Jesus, He lives in you and you in Him. Second, live a life of love. If you are living in God, then you will live a life of love because God IS love.
