Reflection When I hear the lyrics of "Lights Shine Bright" by Toby Mac, I am reminded of the words that Jesus said. Now the purpose of light is to shine so that others who … Continue reading Worship Review: Lights Shine Bright

The Lord speaks to us in many ways. He speaks in our dreams and prayers. As we read His Holy Word, His Holy Spirit reveals the message He has for us. Sometimes, the Almighty speaks to us through people and stories.
One such story is Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan. Although the narrative is centuries old, it has stood the test of time. It has done so because of the message that it gives; a message of Salvation which comes through Jesus Christ.
It is challenging to translate the imagery given in a classic book and put it into film form. This film adaptation of Pilgrim’s Progress does an excellent job in keeping with the themes of the narrative and putting it in modern elements. Watch this video and be inspired.

As faith followers in Jesus Christ, we are called to lead others into the flock of our God. A good leader is one who inspires others to follow their lead. That is the example that Christ left for us to follow.
Jesus understood His destiny and He followed it through regardless of the outcome. In the way He lived, He practiced what He taught, even when it was inconvenient to do so. If you want to know what quality leadership looks like, look upon the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
How do we lead others to follow Christ? We lead by example, just like He did. We know the way to go, and that is to love the Lord with all my heart, mind, body, and soul, and love my neighbor as myself. This is no easy task, but if we follow through with it and do the things that we say, we demonstrate that we can be trusted and that our message is true; and they will follow our lead.
