Finding True Peace

34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn “‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law— 36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’ 37 “Anyone who loves their father … Continue reading Finding True Peace

Relax your mind. Soothe your soul.

When the days become dark and worrisome,
When evil shades every aspect of my life.
I will turn to the Lord my God,
To my Savior will I seek deliverance.
For in the King of Kings do I find rest,
In the Lord of Lords will I find peace of mind.
With this peace I have hope for the day,
The day does not look bleak when in His grace.
So daily I will find nourishment in the Almighty,
Everyday will my sustenance be in My Lord and Savior.
For in Him, I find true peace that soothes,
I discover pure rest in the presence of my God.

Thriving Under Pressure

Worries – Matthew 6:31-34

Worry is the biggest enemy to faith. It is birthed when we look at the things around us and fear what the consequences will be. It is fear of a future that we cannot know and no matter how hard we try to control it, no matter of control can soothe our worry.
The cure for worry is to look beyond the current circumstances and see that God is in control of it all. Recognize that the future, while unknown to us, the Lord knows it all has already placed contingencies that will make sure we will survive in the end. Remember that Lord is good in His nature and He will prepare us for whatever the future will hold. Therefore, let us cast out worry and embrace our God for He has our future in His hands.

Worries – Matthew 6:31-34

Why do I worry so?
When You the God of all hope
Is ever at my side
Why am I so worried for today?
What is it their words could do?
When the God of all mercy
Throws His protection over me
So I won’t worry for today
And place no worries on tomorrow
In this moment I place my trust in You
And keep faith that I’ll come through again
