This is a guest post which discusses how God solved the problem in loving both the offender and the offended.
2 “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don’t wash their hands before they eat!” 3 Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? 4 For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’ and ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put … Continue reading God’s Will versus Tradition
May I drink in the boundless mercy You have for me,
Your abundant favor, let me relish every drop.
To know that I am the King’s is too beautiful,
It is too great to imagine being the child of the Most High.
Let me listen to the melody of Your Holy Voice,
Your Divine Word, I will fill me like pure water.
To be changed by the Grace of the Almighty is amazing,
Being molded into the image of my Savior is unfathomable.
May my heart be made better by being One with You,
Transform my soul as I have fellowship with my God.
To look like my Prince of Peace is truly a great honor,
When I behold my Christ in my is my eternal destiny.
A smile is birthed
In eyes shining bright
Hand is extended
A hug gripping tight
Fragrance of friendship
Surrounds in the air
A warning connection
Of God dwelling here
One of acceptance
Connection is known
Of our hearts desire
Your bonding is shown
Through Word of the sharing
And molding through thee
May I depart
As a better me
The purpose of God’s Word is not only to inform people about God and His nature. While it is true that we learn a lot about the Lord in reading the text, but to claim that the Bible is just a portrait of the Almighty would be just scratching the surface.
The purpose of God’s Word is to transform us into His very image, which was what we were created to be in the first place. When God’s looks at us, He wants to see His reflection in us. This is possible only when we allow His Words to transform us from the inside out.
Have you allowed the Lord’s Word examine your heart and soul? Have you let it reveal the aspects of your life that mar the image of the Almighty in you? It is time for us to be sincere in self-examining ourselves as we read the Bible, to read deeper into its words and discern what aspect in our lives does it want to change.
The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the decrees of the LORD are sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is clear, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever; the ordinances of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey, and drippings of the honeycomb. ~Psalm 19:7-10 (CEB)
What if, instead of reading the Bible, you let the Bible read you? … What would happen if we approached the test less aggressively but even more energetically and passionately? I wonder what would happen if we honestly listen to the story and put ourselves under its spell… not using it to get all our questions about God answered but instead trusting God to use it to…

In Christ we are made new. Therefore, we need to stop thinking like our old selves and start thinking new life thoughts and doing new life things. This is a challenge for us because it is like starting all over again in life; like learning how to walk all over again.
However, we are not alone as learn to live a life that is new. Our Heavenly Father has promised to us a guide that will teach us and encourage us as we press on. That teacher is the Holy Spirit and it is important that we heed His words and His advice as we learn to move in our new bodies. Otherwise, our progress in our walk will go a lot slower than we want and we will miss out on all the things God has for us.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (King James Version) The moment we accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior, we were given a promise. No longer will our lives be dictated by the ways of … Continue reading Promise of New Life

We can wander into a sinful lifestyle, but we can’t wander into a life that is honorable to God. Living our lives for the Lord requires being intentional in what we say and what we do. It demands that we pay attention to the thoughts that come out of our hearts and take them captive if they don’t align to God’s Word.
The end goal of our journey in this life is to enter into the glory of God. We enter this glory, not by our merit but by the grace we receive when we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Once we have done this, the process begins where we become transformed by God’s grace into the image of Christ, which makes us acceptable in God’s sight. This doesn’t come naturally but requires hard work and attentiveness to all that is around us. However, I believe the benefits far supersede the cost I think.
And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night.
Brothers and sisters, whether you and I are aware of it or not, we are on a Journey. It is not by car, truck or SUV. If it were, everything we need to know about operating and maintaining the vehicle would be found in the owner’s manual. Instead, Our life owner’s manual is the Holy Bible.
When you first try, it may seem hard to find help there. But did you know that it (the Holy Bible) contains every trial, every emotion, and every experience a human can encounter.
Brothers and sisters, whatever you are going through right now. You are not the first or last to feel…
