Worry is the biggest enemy to faith. It is birthed when we look at the things around us and fear what the consequences will be. It is fear of a future that we cannot know and no matter how hard we try to control it, no matter of control can soothe our worry.
The cure for worry is to look beyond the current circumstances and see that God is in control of it all. Recognize that the future, while unknown to us, the Lord knows it all has already placed contingencies that will make sure we will survive in the end. Remember that Lord is good in His nature and He will prepare us for whatever the future will hold. Therefore, let us cast out worry and embrace our God for He has our future in His hands.
Worries – Matthew 6:31-34
Why do I worry so?
When You the God of all hope
Is ever at my side
Why am I so worried for today?
What is it their words could do?
When the God of all mercy
Throws His protection over me
So I won’t worry for today
And place no worries on tomorrow
In this moment I place my trust in You
And keep faith that I’ll come through again
There are many things that cause us to worry. But the reading of God's word reveals that there is really no reason for us to fear. Let us examine the verse from Psalm 91 and learn what it says about living under the shade of the Lord.
